Yalding to Headcorn Airfield

On a glorious sunny morning with very light winds and the prospect of a flat ride Tony led 13 riders from Yalding. As D+ and Easy Riders were also starting Tony chose a loop around East Peckham to avoid too many cyclists clogging the roads around Yalding. This added about four miles to Tonys planned route. The group then headed out through Marden, Staplehurst  and Headcorn before a loop back to the airfield. Advance information was the airfield was closed due to  being waterlogged but that was wrong and the airfield was very busy. Cycling back the group avoided Headcorn  by cycling along Newhouse Lane, did a loop around Marden and continued back via Chainhurst and Hunton  A very fast ride but conditions were near perfect.

Distance 38 miles Average Speed 15mph Climb 700ft (Sorry !!!)
